My Story: From Transformation to Coaching with Purpose

More than two decades ago, during my junior year of high school, I weighed over 300 pounds. At that time, I felt uncomfortable in my body, low in confidence, and disconnected from what true health really looked like.

Like many people starting their journey, I turned to every fad diet I could find: quick fixes, extreme restrictions, and unsustainable plans. The result? A cycle of temporary weight loss, regain, and frustration. That experience is exactly why I don’t promote dieting today.

Everything changed when I shifted my focus from short-term results to long-term, sustainable habits.

Where Science & Structure Changed Everything

While attending Barton College, I was introduced to foundational nutrition education that reshaped my understanding of health. I began to apply evidence-based principles learning how proper nutrition, structured training, and consistency work together to create real, lasting change.

I started meal prepping, planning my nutrition with intention, and building habits that supported (not restricted) my lifestyle.

This is where my transformation truly began.

Real Life, Real Challenges, Real Results

Before my first pregnancy, I had reduced my weight into the 150s after losing over 150 pounds. Like many women, pregnancy brought new challenges, and my weight increased into the 220s. That moment tested me mentally but it also strengthened my commitment to sustainable health.

Through structured training and proper nutrition, I rebuilt my physique and discovered a passion for fitness that would eventually become my career.

A few years later, I stepped on stage for my first bikini competition and placed 3rd in my class an accomplishment that symbolized far more than aesthetics. It represented discipline, resilience, and belief in the process.

Life continued to present challenges, including an unexpected pregnancy discovered after a motorcycle accident while preparing for another competition. Instead of seeing setbacks, I learned to adapt, refocus, and continue forward.

My Approach Today

Today, over 24 years into my journey, my focus is no longer just weight loss, it’s body composition, strength, longevity, and performance.

I’ve successfully transformed my body from over 300 pounds to 142 pounds at approximately 18% body fat and more importantly, I’ve maintained those results through a structured, sustainable lifestyle.

As a Certified Nutritionist and Personal Trainer, I now help others do the same using a science-based, individualized approach that includes:

  • Customized nutrition planning (no restrictive dieting)
  • Progressive strength training programs
  • Habit development and behavioral coaching
  • Sustainable fat loss and muscle-building strategies
  • Ongoing accountability and plan adjustments

This is not about quick fixes.
This is about building a lifestyle that evolves with you.
