So here is a little bit about my journey, I figured I would share it with you as you are looking for the right trainer!
23 years ago, my 11th grade year of high school I was a little over 300 lbs.
“Wow, OMG i can't believe it” are the words I get from people and total strangers now. I absolutely hated the way I looked, the way I felt and could tell that many around me were trying to help me when I thought food was my friend.
However, I quickly found out what foods were my friend and I started meal prepping and planning for my weight-loss success. But first you need to know what happened before that.....
I tackled every single fad diet that I knew was around and let me tell y'all it sucked, it was downright grueling, the up and down, watching your weight yo-yo and inconsistency are not healthy at all. Throughout the fad diet process I started the nursing program at Barton College for one semester and had to drop out due to having my son ( which is Totally OK with me) but while attending I found that the nutrition courses that I had taken to be very helpful to keep the longevity of eating right, exercising and the whole circle revolved around the weight loss process going which had ultimately led me to where I am now. It’s NO DIET, Its NO FAD.... ITS a LIFESTYLE CHANGE. Currently as a Certified Nutritionist, I am able to help you build and manage a meal plan custom for you while you change throughout your journey with me as your coach.
Before my oldest son was born who is now 14 years old and also on his own weight loss journey, my pre pregnancy weight was in the 150’s. I delivered my oldest son in the 220's, and I was devastated since I had lost over 150 lbs total at that time, I was so scared that the weight from pregnancy would not fall off. While being connected to a fitness trainer I quickly found out that working out would become one of the best hobbies (now career) to have and along with great eating habits I'd be able to fulfill the complete journey and connect it all together.
When my oldest son was 3, I competed in my very first bikini competition and placed 3rd in my class. (Accomplishment for me for a newbie✔), fast forward to 2015 - I started to train again to compete but just in a new division and class. As I began to prep again I found out after having a motorcycle accident that I was 22 weeks pregnant and had no idea, Needless to say that November show was not done, but a beautiful blonde hair blue-eyed baby boy was another reason to begin my journey again.
Fast forward to 12 years later.... Still on a "fitness" journey (not losing weight but filling with muscle building) and still wearing old, worn out, baggy and what felt comfy to me workout gear! Ya'll that old worn gear is life, as I prepare to compete again within the next year.
On my journey I’ve went from over 300 lbs to 142 lbs at 18% body fat and feel absolutely amazing and being able to hit your goals daily feels just as good; Embrace the journey, remember you can do anything that you set your mind to! I want to help you reach your goals and teach you that you don’t have to starve yourself to reach them.
The reason I am telling you all about this is because I believe that you can do this too.
If you are having a hard time and need that extra boost, I am always here to help any one of you.
